Aquaforest AF Purifying Resin – Selective Nitrate Removal
A specialist ion exchange resin for freshwater aquariums, dedicated primarily to heavily stocked aquariums struggling with elevated nitrates. It works selectively, effectively absorbing nitrates without affecting the level of minerals necessary for aquatic life.
How Does It Work?

How to Use & Regenerate
- Efficiency: 125 ml is enough for purifying 400 liters of water.
- Place the resin in a fine-mesh filter bag in the filter basket with a constant water flow.
- Regeneration: Dark brown discoloration indicates wear. It can be regenerated in a 50% chlorine-containing bleach solution for approx. 6 hours, then rinsed thoroughly and left in clean water for about 24 hours.
