Aquaforest AF Natural Substrate 7.5 ltr (for Planted Aquarium) – Peat & Clay Base
AF Natural Substrate is a nutrient-rich, peat and clay based substrate base that creates a fertile, nature-like environment. The natural Cation Exchange Capacity (CEC) allows the substrate to absorb and release excess nutrients, helping to maintain biological balance.
Key Components & Benefits
-
Peat: Creates excellent conditions for the root system and supplies minerals/trace elements.
-
Clay: Improves texture and acts as a natural layer for storing excess nutrients.
-
Fertilizer Note: Due to richness in micronutrients, additional micronutrient fertilizers are not recommended for the first three months.
How to Use (Layering Instructions)
-
Spread the substrate on the bottom and compact it to approx. **2?2.5 cm thick layer**.
-
Cover with about **3 cm of gravel or sand**.
-
Gently fill the aquarium with water to approx. 15 cm (directing the stream onto a plate to avoid disturbing the substrate).
-
Place the plants in the substrate, then fill the aquarium completely.
