MARINE SOURCES Ammonia Reduction Filter Pad is the ideal product for reducing ammonia toxicity in a aquarium water. It is made of special ammonia-grabbing resin that eliminate ammonia from the water preventing the exchange between NO2 and NO3. This chemical filter media helps control the toxins associated with introducing new fish into an aquarium, overfeeding and over crowding. Also helps remove free floating waste and debris before pollutants can break down in to toxins.

Very nice product. I use this in my hospital tank where I can’t use a cycled filter as the medicines will kill all the beneficial bacteria and break the cycle. So I use this to remove ammonia from the water. I generally don’t feed my fishes while they are in the hospital tank undergoing some treatment, so the amount of the ammonia will be less than normal. The product does a decent job for removing that ammonia. Also can be used in new tank where the cycle is not completed yet or in cases of ammonia spike in the fish tank. It’s always better to have some in my fish room. Will definitely recommend the product.
