Quality stuff but not a mandatory for a planted tank ,it’s basically an ioniser that uses electrolysis to create a fizz in the water column made of hydrogen and oxygen ions ,hence oxygenating the water more efficiently than a normal air stone and as the product claims it’s utility in algae inhibition is a bit debatable but do not be dependant on this product to eliminate algae as the product only claims it only destroys algae at the beginning stage as a spore but it’s not a direct peddle to the medal kind of thing, so in short maintenance is key always but over all if you are a gadget junky like me ,it’s a must have stuff and also keeps the water pretty clear than a average tank without one functioning .
