API Quick Start

In a new aquarium, harmful ammonia and nitrite build up from fish waste, often resulting in fish loss or “new tank syndrome”. The unique, patented nitrifying bacteria in API QUICK START Freshwater and Saltwater Aquarium Nitrifying Bacteria are scientifically proven to quickly consume ammonia and nitrite to help prevent fish loss.

API QUICK START contains live, nitrifying bacteria which allows immediate addition of fish to a new freshwater or saltwater aquarium. The beneficial bacteria immediately starts the aquarium cycle by converting toxic ammonia into nitrite, then into harmless nitrate to help prevent fish loss in your tank.

This treatment also helps to maintain an active biological filter in an established aquarium for healthy water conditions.

WHEN TO USE

This water conditioner is best for use when you are –

• starting a new aquarium
• changing water and filter media
• after medicating the tank / fishes
• when ammonia or nitrite are detected

API Quick Start may be used in both fresh and saltwater aquariums.

DOSAGE

Add 10 ml per 10 gallons of aquarium water. For saltwater aquariums, double the dose.
